Hahahahahahaha I got a similar thing only much less threatening. I wonder if there are any really stupid people who actually PAY when they get these scams! A few years ago I kept getting random phone calls from some "repair tech" who claimed my computer needs attention. He had a heavy foreign accent. The first time he called I politely told him I wasn't interested. But then I kept getting random calls, usually around dinner time. One night a few friends were over and I got another call. So we all started to mimic the caller and giving him doubletalk and singing monty python songs.......he never called back!

If it were me, I think I'd send an e-mail back to this creative fellow and tell him that not only do I not own a computer, but that I don't know how to use one.

I'd always feign terror and ask them to fix it - I'd always claim to be doing just as I was asked to do (e.g. log in to a site and grant them permission control my computer remotely) Oddly it never worked. The hardest part was trying to keep from laughing as their frustration grew greater. Gosh, I miss that hobby.

Probably not s good idea to reply to them, would only encourage more.
I remember in the windows 98 days I had a program that sent a fake message back to them saying the email was invalid and the message bounced, something like that wouldn't be a bad idea, they might cross you off the spam list.

I used to keep them on the phone and have them try their tricks in a VM, and really just infuriate them for as long as I could. Then i found out that some kids on the youtubes have millions of subs for doing the same thing, and the boss said she didn't mind me 'being so rude' to them. I figured they could waste 45 minutes out of my day or take my grandparents for $800 (again)..

I might be dating myself but this reminds me of when I was a kid, taking the dozens of "Postage Paid" post cards that infest magazines and scribbling nonsense on them and dropping them in the mailbox.
