Anyone know where you can but Motorola mobile speakers that have the 3.5 plug that fits a scanner?

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I don't believe there is any such animal. You just have to buy the plugs at Rat Shack and simply crimp/solder/tape them on yourself.Metrofire31 said:

You might find some on eBay, but they'll be more expensive than just buying a speaker and wiring your own connector on. Which is what the people selling them do as Motorola never made a speaker with that type of connector.
They do make nice scanner speakers, though.

There's a Midland knockoff of a MotherMoto Syntor/Spectra/MaraTrac style speaker available from AES (aesham.com) that has the 3.5 plug, is 4 ohms, and rated to handle up to 15W audio. Part number is 21-406, and it's $22.99 in the current catalog. I have one and it works as advertised and beats the Moto price.
THANKS! Just ordered a couple of them - theyre my favorite. I've actually built my own before by splicing own the right connector but it always seems to look very unprofessional.

What I do is to solder the connexions, and then put black shrink tubing over the them. Looks clean and professional, and is a lot more stable than other types of connexions too.
If you find an old Syntor speaker (look the same) with the square female plug a right angle 1/8" RadioShack adaptaplug power adapter end will fit right in there.
Just to let you all know, I bought a couple of the Midland speakers suggested above and I'm very happy with them. They have a very similar style to the MOTOs and I like the sound quality just as well. Thanks for all the input
