You also need to hope that the TRBO system you are monitoring is
- conventional
- unencrypted and
- not using RAS

If any one of these conditions is not met then your CS700 won't decode it, and you can't do anything about it either.

Good points. DMRDecode can tell you whether the system is using Privacy (encryption), and whether the system is conventional. It cannot, as of the latest release, tell you whether the system uses RAS.

I'm not that familiar with the CS700 but if it's like a Motorola, you won't have any problems monitoring a trunked system.

You just program in the frequencies as conventional.

Also you may be in luck if they are only using basic privacy as they are only 256 possibilities but don't get caught as it's illegal. We are still waiting for that Edward Snowden type to put out a hacker tool to defeat their advanced privacy option.
