I recently installed a Motorola VHF mobile antenna in my truck. I connected the antenna to the Uniden BCT15 scanner using a BNC adapter from the connector that came with the antenna. The problem I am having is that I cannot receive on many output frequencies. I noticed that the only frequencies that I can receive are simplex. I know for a fact that the antenna is capable of receiving (and transmitting) on the VHF frequencies I am trying to scan. Is this a problem with the antenna, connector, or the scanner itself? Should I take the original connector off and put a BNC instead of using an adapter?
