Motorola Astro Spectra

Have a Question. I have a Motorola Astro Spectra and am wondering if you can use the radio Cable (from the radio to the control head) with this our do u need to get a Cable made for Astro.

the cables are the same Power and control . The heads are different,though.

Thanks for your input. I thought they were the same of course except the Control Head. One more Question the on i am looking @ getting says it is Analog only but it is an Astro. I am wondering if it maybe digital just not programed with Digital Freq. My Dept is switching to digital. Have a Spectra but u cant convert them to digital. It is a 1 Meg board that is the astro.

Reading between the missing words in your post, I think your asking if you can use the Astro Spectra
on a digital system. The answer to the would depend on what features the radio is flashed for. Most
of the Astro Spectra radios that I have played with all had the digital feature in them. However, that
doesn't mean yours does.

The best way is to decode the flash version in your radio and see just what features it does have.
You could just try programming in a digital channel and see if it takes it.

There was no mention in your post of what band the radio was on, unless I missed it. We won't
go any further and leave the trunking subject alone. It has been discussed way too much on this
board already.
