I have recently aquired an Motorola Radius CP200 16 Channel UHF Hand Held. After doing a little bit of research I found the frequency range of this unit appears to be from ~438Mhz - 470Mhz, I was hoping to use it in the -476Mhz in the UHF Cb radio frequency range...

Given it's only a few Mhz away, am I still able to program in the relevent frequencies?
My good mate thinks that the frequency range is based on Opitum performance, not actual capilities.... of the chystal...

Can someone help me please?

Cheers!

476MHz UHF CB? What country are you in?

Maybe you're thinking FRS/GMRS? They fall in the 462/467MHz area.

I have one also. If you want another one I will sell it cheap. I have no way to program it and no need since I have all Kenwood stuff.
