Motorola HT1000 programming

Is anybody familiar with programming a Motorola HT-1000 portable radio? I pretty much have it figured out except i am stuck on 1 thing. I am trying to program my Ambulance's Quick-Call II Select Call tone alert. I went to the Signalling menu and typed in all the correct stuff and enabled everything and my radio still won't go "beep beep" when my tones are set off.
