Does anyone know the latest version of Trbo CPS..? also what is the latest Firmware version for the XPR3500e...?
Thanks

Your cable should be fine as long as the radio is recognized by your computer. So I'm gonna venture out on a limb and say that it's a firmware ver/software ver mismatch. So I just got a new SL3500e and my CPS 2.0 is saying "code plug version not supported". I am just using a basic usb to micro usb cable so either my CPS is too old or I need a special programming cable. My CPS version is 2.18.95.0. Before I get raked for trying a simple cable that is how SL7550's that I have can be programmed. Anyone know the solution to my situation?
You can open a non 2.0 codeplug in 2.0 and it will convert. In CPS 2.0 is there any way to copy the code plugs for different model radios or do you have to build each one new. Am afraid I know the answer.
Aha. Open two CPS side by side and copy-pasteIn CPS 2.0 is there any way to copy the code plugs for different model radios or do you have to build each one new. Am afraid I know the answer.
Once you convert the codeplug from 16/828 into CPS 2.0 will the old 16/828 code plug still exist? Scared of MotorolaYou can open a non 2.0 codeplug in 2.0 and it will convert.
Duh I could just rename it and save that one in case.Once you convert the codeplug from 16/828 into CPS 2.0 will the old 16/828 code plug still exist? Scared of Motorola
The current CPS 2.0 version as of October, 2021 is 2.110.235.0 .
I don't recommend programming Generation I radios (XPR4000 / 6000 / 8000) with CPS2.0. I have seen them misbehave badly after that, particularly Connect Plus radios.
There an easy hex edit found with google search to enable wideband in CPS 16CPS version 16 build 828, the last release of the earlier CPS. If you need wide band (Ham, GMRS, marine or T-band) and you don't have the EID for wide band, version 8.0 is the last one that will allow wide band. That one might not work with later firmware, though.

Compatibility with channels that still require wideband. Analog Ham, Marine, railroad and some other services are still wideband modulation vs narrowband.I’ve just started looking into these radios so excuse my ignorance but what does “wideband” give you on them?
