In the maunal for the 296D, it says you have to specify a plan for programming a digital P25 system. The plans are catagorized by the last 3 digits of the freqs the system uses. All the freqs for the MPSCS (Michigans digital statewide system) are listed here on Radio Reference. I'm not sure what plan to use, and I'll give an example of why...

866.66250 is one of many listed freqs for the MPSCS.

If you include the 0 at the end of all the freqs, then plan 3 would be the proper plan (freqs ending in 000, 250, 500, or 750)

If you do not include the 0 at the end, plan 1 would be the proper plan (freqs ending in 125, 375, 625, 875)

I don't have this scanner yet (it's in the mail as we speak), but I don't recall my Pro-96 including 5 digits after the decimal point, only 4.

At any rate, I'm not sure which plan to use. It looks like it depends on whether the end 0 is included or not, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be. If anyone could fill me in on this, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

As I recall, only four digits following the decimal apply. Perhaps someone can confirm.

This only apply's to the last 4 digits.

Example = 858.7625 (.7625)

.x625 .x125 .x500
