I have a department that has a pm1500 remote head set up with an external speaker hooked up for their base radio. They want to be able to hear the radio over the bay speakers and the external speaker attached to the radio. Is there a oem or after market cable with a dual out speaker connections or something else that would work to operate over 2 speakers?

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

You would need the ACCY cable with the pin for Filtered Audio to connect to the radio.. The Filtered Audio output is not affected by the volume control and is line level.
Do NOT connect to the radio's speaker circuit as the audio amplifier can be damaged.

What cmdrwill said is the best way to do it. I actually was upgrading station alert radios from CDM1250 to APX1500 models earlier today. The (custom built) alert systems pull flat audio off the accessory (which is at line levels) and send it to a Bogden PA system. Don't ask me why the department felt they needed APX1500's to do something that could've been accomplished with a Maxon data radio (receive only application).
