Hey there, So I recently picked up a Moto pm400 from a pawn shop (he thought it was a CB radio) anyway I got it home ordered the ribless cable and CPS. have it powered by a car battery next to my computer while I program it. But this sucker gets really hot, Like burn you kind of hot. I'm not transmitting. Just have it plugged into the computer and programming it. The case says "Caution hot surface" so this might be normal? I have it at 130 Degrees f. Its hottest where the power cord enters the case but the entire bottom of the radio is over 100 degrees. Is this normal?
On a separate note it never stops "receiving" constant static and if you key up on the freq its set to it will light up the signal bar on the screen but no audio comes out just static. I think it might be broke.
