Has anybody used these? MOTOROLA BDA-S4 SIGNAL BOOSTER CABLE TV HDTV AMPLIFIER - eBay (item 130218529233 end time Feb-17-10 11:44:15 PST)

I would like to use this to connect 4 scanners to 1 antenna while keeping the signal loss to a minimum.

thanks!

You will get mixed opinions on everything you ask on these forums. BUT, my word of advice is to experiment with all kinds of different things. As long as you wouldnt be losing out on a lot of money if they fail.

I have had GREAT results using a cheap Phillips 4-way splitter with adjustable gain control. I am able to pick up some VHF fire departments hundreds of miles away when the conditions are right. Try it, as long as its only for scanner, it doesnt hurt anything being 50ohm on the scanner and 75ohm on the splitter.

well i purchased two of those. All I can say is WOW! Like night and day...pulling in signals that wouldn't even break squelch before. I was using regular splitters before and all i can say is get something like these. You will not be disappointed.

happy scanning!
