Motorola Type II SmartZone help needed.

I live in County that uses Motorola Type II SmartZone system. What kind of scanner/radio + software would I need in order to program Talkgroups, DECs and HEXs?

Most any trunking scanner will do that, S/w depends on the scanner

According to the RR Wiki on Smart Zone, "Monitoring a SmartZone system with a trunktracking scanner is the same process as monitoring any other Type II Smartnet system, except that you can only monitor one site at a time."

I can't attest for Uniden scanners but Pro-93 and later GRE's will use multi-site scanning in a single bank/list. I have a pair of UHF Military Smartzones in my area which are often scanned in same bank on a 2096. Also, many Smartzones have P25 voice on some or even all talkgroups. The two military mentioned above are all digital.
