Did I miss something in the transition from my 92 to the 96? - The 92 was limited to entering TGID's on the standard 16 digit spacing. I was working in open mode tonight on my 96, wondering why I wasn't getting the NJSP Turnpike dispatches out of Cranbury station - I noticed they where coming in on 53264. I had the 96 accidentally programmed with 53265. Then, I noticed that the scanner would take ANY TGID I entered from 00008 to the limit up at 65xxx for Type-II systems.
Has the 96 always been able to do this, or just since the CPU upgrade? And, does this mean I can do status-bit reception like emergency calls or multi-selects? If anyone else remembers theirs doing this out of the box, please get back to me.
TIA!
