If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

The XPR 7350 supports up to 32 channels. Add whatever you want for channel 3 using the CPS.

You will have to add a Personality for each new 'channel'. Then you will have to add the Personality to the ZONE.

Oddly enough, not so with MotoTRBO. Channels are created in each zone as you see fit but can "point" to items elsewhere in the CPS. That is, you define emergency systems, signaling systems, contacts, RX group lists and so on and so forth elsewhere in the tree but CPS doesn't refer to anything as a personality.

Hello,

What I want to do is to connect my radios to the repeater. And add channel to the radios using the repeaters frequency. I have installed the Dynamic Mix Mode for the repeater so I can also use the Analog ones. Can you help me on setting up the channel for my XPR 7350? I manage to link the two radios using the repeaters frequency but the TX mode and RX mode on the repeater is not functioning. I have no training for this and trying to learn it by myself.

Thanks

Assuming here you have MotoTRBO CPS?

In the CPS, after you read the radio, you should see your two existing channels on the left side tree menu under zone. With a right click above them, you can then ADD an additional analog or digital channel, at which point you will have a new right side field where you can enter the frequency, PL, etc.
