• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I subscribed to everything I could, even a ton of TRBO stuff, but no CPS anywhere to be found. Not a big deal to me, just odd.
Log into your moto account and then go to the "Shop" tab> Software and Services> Software> CPS Software. For me, "TRBO CPS Download - Current Version" is on the 3rd page almost at the end. Part # HKVN4362A.

On a side note, I see the wideband license is now $5... Didn't that used to be free?

Not trying to hijack but this question is inline with what the OP posted. I got a Moto account approved and running but I cant find the MotoTrbo CPS download. I also intend to use it for a 5550e. I also took the wideband entitlement course, waiting for that to be added. Went to the Moto Knowledge Search and the article to download CPS is a dead link. Do I need to get Moto to add CPS to show under Support Services>Software and Licensing or do I have to cart it and do a $0 purchase somewhere? Thanks

Also, when I click "Subscribe to Non-Licensed Software" under Support Services>Software and Licensing, I have a bunch of options including Astro CPS, many other Mototrbo options but not seeing Mototrbo CPS in there

I had to call Motorola Solutions and they got it all straightened out. They have to do some kind of manual process to give you visibility to the store to order the software products. CPS was $0 but WB entitlement was $5

Even after your account is active, you will have to call them and request the download link for CPS. It's not available through the portal like everything else. After that, you'll find that you do not have access to the 25KHz entitlement. You'll have to call for that too before you'll be able to find it on their site. It was free when I "bought" it; get more than one if you want to use CPS on more than one computer. It'll save the hassle of ordering again.

That was my experience about 6 months ago.

Same here. But looking at this post above indicates what I think I (and probably you) need to do.

Not sure if they typically do this, but mods can close the thread now. I've gotten access, and I had to reach out to motorola. I greatly dislike talking to people so I reached out via live chat after creating an affiliate/business account. Simply asked for access to MOTOTRBO CPS I got transferred around a few times, and an agent finally told me to check back in a few hours. I then logged into "motorola myview" and under entitlements had access to the download.
