Does anyone know what range can I expect from a Motorola XTNi?

It's hard to say exactly but it would be easier to ballpark it if we knew what kind of conditions the radios would be used under (indoors, outdoors, city, forest, etc)...

Range should be identical to what you can do with a pair of FRS radios (0.5W max, handheld only, antenna permanently attached). The XTNi radio is a PMR446 radio sold in Europe. It operates on 8 frequencies between 446.0 and 446.1 MHz. PMR446 is the European version of the USA & Canada's Family Radio Service (FRS). Transmitter power output is limited to 0.5W, antenna must be permanently attached, just like FRS in the USA.

While this radio can be operated unlicensed in many European countries, transmitting with one of these radios legally in the USA requires the operator to have a valid Amateur Radio license, Technician Class or higher.
