I have the radio set for non affiliated scan
I have the radio programmed for the viper system in Iredell county
we have 3 sites on the viper system
Mooresville (3f)
Fox Mountain (27)
Barium Springs (4)
I live in Statesville and been receiving off Fox Mountain
I have no problem receiving talk groups great sounding radio.
my question is I am picking up a site 71?
our rfss group is number 2.
the highest site is5D(93)..
the site 71 gives me full bars but its not supposed to exist I was hoping someone had an answer?
the non affiliated scan works great .
was hoping someone could explain the site 71

The Pores Knob site is 2-71 (2-47) and about 30 miles north of you.

Site 71 (Pores Knob, Wilkes County) works great for Iredell county. I get site 71 all the way on the eastern section of the county on my mobile radio. Another thing is that the radio shows the site number in decimal and not hex
