Hi guys I have FPP on this radio and I can’t add freq 771.23125 for either RX or TX, could I fix this is Cps? Thanks!
Why is that? You should be able to RX that frequency but you wont be able to TX on that frequency.
I think perhaps you're getting confused with the fact that you cannot RX the 700/800 inputs, you can only TX on those; however you can absolutely RX/TX on any of the 700/800 outputs, otherwise none of the CALL/TAC channels would work in simplex mode. You should be able to RX that frequency but you wont be able to TX on that frequency. As to why it's not allowing you to enter that in? I'm not sure
Make sure that the TX Deviation is set to 2.5 kHz, otherwise the radio will reject that frequency.Hi guys I have FPP on this radio and I can’t add freq 771.23125 for either RX or TX, could I fix this is Cps? Thanks!
Would I need the CPS for this?Make sure that the TX Deviation is set to 2.5 kHz, otherwise the radio will reject that frequency.
Do you see Tx deviation in the FPP menu for the channel? If not, then you need CPS.Would I need the CPS for this?
Yeah it looks like I’ll need to use the CPS then, Thanks for the help everyone!Do you see Tx deviation in the FPP menu for the channel? If not, then you need CPS.
Ah yes you are right. I was referencing the manual since I know that the TX and RX capabilities are different. What’s that mean?FPP on an 7/800 XTS... Yea.... Someone got happy with the Depot
It means... FPP is not native to any 7/800 XTS... someone went in with Depot level software and made a codeplug with this feature. Gullible people who are buying these radios off Ebay where the seller is advertising them thinking they can program them off the front keypad..What’s that mean?
If they are, the FW is 9, or below.Yes, most 7/800 radios are used for trunking. FPP and trunking dont play nice together which is why they wont be found together. If they are, depot hack job.
Good luck finding an XTS that still has 10 year old firmware that has recently been used on any P25 PI systemIf they are, the FW is 9, or below.
My radio is non trunking, it’s conventional onlyGood luck finding an XTS that still has 10 year old firmware that has recently been used on any P25 PI system
A conventional radio with FPP is perfectly normal, no matter what the band.My radio is non trunking, it’s conventional only
The Host is R.20.50.09 The DSP is 19.50.01
FPP was for USFS fire crews originally on VHF XTS anywhere else is a Hack jobA conventional radio with FPP is perfectly normal, no matter what the band.
And I fail to see the problem. My motorola ham radios have FPP, & I find it handy when I need to add a freq & my laptop isn’t in my back pocket. It’s a factory option, & came with my radio when I purchased it. I don’t care how it got there. I just know it works.FPP was for USFS fire crews originally on VHF XTS anywhere else is a Hack job
