Leduc Fire is still analog, or is this a list of to-be-converted agencies and systems?

It would be nice if consumer-grade equipment like the Bearcats would gain functionality to decode the colour code, timeslot and call ID. Test sets like the R8000B that I use can already do all this (as I'm beginning to maintain an increasing amount of TRBO systems), but I'd like to bring around a portable scanner instead of lugging around a service monitor test set for basic function checks. (The new portables with Bluetooth CPS programming are the next best thing to front panel programming, but still have to have a computer around to do that, and they can't search for unknown systems.)

I'm hearing Turbo today on 153.950 and 167.340 Leduc Fire. Wondering which are still analog.

It seems CBSA both in Edmonton and at (YEG) EIA are now Turbo as well.

I think TAC Solutions Motorola trunked system on Bankers Hall has been changed outright to a MotoTRBO I have been looking for a few clients they had and they are no where to be found. It also looks that way form their website: Digital Trunking

I know that some of the repeaters were TRBO, but the last time I checked, which was admittedly months ago, the Type II system was still chugging out a control channel. Like I say, I haven't looked for it lately.

Yup, that's definitely P25 Phase II - and a Motorola system (true P2, not X2). I see mciupa is already on it. :)

Radio 2133 on TG 10010 got a P2 grant, so it's definitely running P2, and not just one of the newer systems that advertises P2 but doesn't use it.

I've never seen 0BEE0 for a WACN yet - almost thought PRO96COM slipped a byte somewhere.

PS. Apologies for not catching the subject line earlier. I was using Tapatalk and it apparently doesn't show in-thread subject lines.

I got confirmation that the City of Airdrie is MotoTRBO for Fire and Public Works. When they bought the system they were "Sold" on the fact it was P25 compatible and the Fire Department radios would go online with AFRRCS (That they later found out is not entirely true) They may be changing in the future for the Fire department at least.

Eeyup. I am pretty sure they were not the only fire/rescue entity in southern Alberta to get fed that line when migrating to a TRBO system either.

Wow, that's pretty dishonest, but doesn't surprise me knowing the radio salesmen I've met over the years.

Pretty negligent on Airdrie's engineering staff to not inquire though too.

Or to do their own research...

I haven't heard UofC security for some time on VHF. Jay911 posted them as another going and am hearing the grating sound on 463.0500.

Anyone know who 451.125 is?
NXDN96 digital - voice channel decodable with DSDPlus.
Wondering if it is trunked as it seems like some parts of the conversation go missing...

Yes, I saw that. They're just a radio comms company though, aren't they?
I'm interested in figuring out the end user.

Have you monitored the freq Harry? You think it is part of a trunked system?
