Not sure, can the P25RX or the P25RXII handle Mototrbo Cap+ trunking?

Never mind, I looked a little further My P25RX will not support DMR+ but the P25RXII will. I will wait until more of the P25RXII are made. I should be able to sell the P25RX with no problem....

Hopefully, Todd can confirm the P25RX DMR+ support.
The release notes for BTConfig-2021-10-31_1523 (Latest Testing P25RX) do appear to show support for Cap+

"Fix output text for Cap+ system (10-11_1421)"
"Attempt to get DMR Cap+ voice working (10-09_1548)"

There is also a Capacity plus thread posted October 7 - October 13 resulting in success with Cap + on the P25RX rig. Includes tips on setting it up in btconfig.

I can't test it here, but based on the testing Vermonster has been doing, the idle channel is not being handled correctly. This results in some delay searching for a CC after the voice traffic ends. I will work on getting this fixed soon.

I own both an RX-I and RX-II.
RX-I works very well on the multiple Cap+ systems I have tested.
RX-II decodes voice very well, but occasionally is struggling with maintaining the rest channel. I am confident @btt will get it working.

A note about Cap+ systems. I have tested on a variety of these around the country and there are quite a few flavors. Some seem to basically keep the rest channel unchanged for hours and others change the rest channel every few minutes (and occasionally seconds on a busy system). For the busy systems rapidly changing rest channels, all receivers I have tried (DSD+ FL, various Uniden scanners) will miss a few transmissions.

It is also worth noting there are some deployments that look like Cap+ but behave more like conventional DMR. This seems most common where public safety has adopted DMR (not common here in the northeast, so I have only limited experience). In this case you may see what looks like a rest channel (on one frequency), but a particular agency always shows up on a particular frequency/slot pair, often with a second agency on the same frequency but also in the second slot location. In this particular use case, I find the Uniden scanner with the system programmed as DMR One Frequency (AKA: One Frequency Trunk) to presently have some advantages over any other approach since a specific frequency, color code, and slot can be programmed. The downside is I think the reason these systems "look" like Cap+ is that the they are set up with a broadcast (beacon) for GPS or radio registration, which slows scanning to a crawl if there are many sites programmed.

Not sure if it will help with this on the P25RX/P25RX-II, but you can enable/disable slot 1 and slot 2 and program a single frequency.
