When I go up to my camp in the summer we have to pass through this town and in the area for their hydro guys they used to use other channels which are still active and in the clear, now there is a new company there now and using different freq's, and on one of the freq's I am hearing a noise, like someone is talking but can't hear them. Which is just a guess that it might be someone talking, since all I am hearing is a noise which lasts for a few min then stops. Not to familiar with MotoTrbo Sounds. So maybe they are using Mototrbo. It comes on quite often.
What I am wondering here is, is there a way when you look up a freq on polkaroo or the spectrum site, can you tell if it is MotoTrbo or Digital, or is there something there to show or tell you. Or no, and you can only find this out by listening to the freq's to tell if they are using P25 or MotoTrbo.
If you can, this would help me out and tell me who is using what and if they are using MotoTrbo then I know I cannot hear them and won't bother putting them into my scanner to listen to.
So I will be waiting for any replies to this post to see if you can find this info on Polkaroo or the Spectrum site.
Thanks
