Hello!
I have DSD running on my Ubuntu and I'm flawlessly decoding MotoTRBO voice. But...
There is a lot of data packets going through that aren't voice. I assume those might be GPS Coordinates since the system is used by mountain rescue service in my area. There comes my question,
Is there any way to decode there coordinates or software to do that.
I found TRBOWatch but it requires IP connection to the repeater.

I could really use any help with that.

Dsd?

Hello,

I might be able to help with the GPS decoding... I will need to speak to our developer about the it first though.

In the mean time I'd love to know how you are decoding the voice - are you connecting to a Mototrbo radio or just sniffing the data over the air with a scanner? Also, do you have a link to the DSD software please?

Best regards,

Kevin

I know that you can get the GPS info out the back of the mobile radio. Telex has introduced an interface between their console IP box and the MotoTrbo mobile radio for GPS and messaging.

I have looked through the C code for DSD and all of the GPS dat should be there. It is a matter of someone who needs it going in and changing the program to output the data in a usable format.
