I’m installing a scanner in my F150 I would like to place the antenna On the same side as my FM antenna. Do I need to worry about any interference? I will not be transmitting anything on the receiving.
Is it OK to mount near the FM antenna?
Thanks
Mike

Nope.

I have a 2020 with my scanner antenna on a vehicle specific mount on the right side. My transmitting radio is on the left side. No issue so far. Had a 2013 set up the same way too.

if the FM antenna is used for transmitting then, no. if it's the vehicles in-dash broadcast radio and just receives then , yes.

It will not cause any interference.

Depending on how close it is, it can make the antenna slightly directional. And that will be compounded by being below the cab and offset to one side of the vehicle.
