I've decided I can get better reception if I go with an actual scanner antenna mounted on the car. (LOL..go figure). I have a SUV, and from what I can tell, the Diamond K400SNMO mount looks like it will work. Does anyone have experience with this mount, and will I be able to open the hatch without a problem ? (I use the rear hatch every day.) The next question is, and suggestions on a good NMO antenna to mount on it ? I'd like a good scanner antenna, but to be honest most of the stuff I listen to it 800 Mhz digital trunked. I read in another post that the 2 mtr /440 type antennas don't perform well at all at 800 Mhz, and I guess thats where I need the best performance. Any comments on the mount, and suggestions on an antenna would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Dan KB2DR
