Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone would have any known good Movie \ Film Crew frequencies.

I know that they could be in the 450-470mhz range, but just thought maybe someone could help me out.

Thanks
Shawn

I can't help you specifically, but suggest scanning all the UHF LPU frequencies. I've heard this sort of activity around where I am, and it's usually simplex. They could show up anywhere, even on a rental repeater.

If you have an older scanner that you're not using much, or a few spare ebanks in one, I recommend keeping the simplex frequencies in use in your area in that. Scan from time to time and it can turn up interrsting stuff. In my case there's an equestrian park that holds some yearly event, and while passing I heard activity on at least 4 common channels.

Low-power simplex UHF sub-bands appear to be (generally) 453-454, 458-459, 464-465 and 469-470. Also try VHF 151-152.

In Hollywood most studios are licensed on the below frqs.:

151.61-151.985
152.87
152.90
152.93
152.96
152.99
153.02
153.05
153.11
173.225
173.275
173.325
173.375
And hundreds of channels on the 12.5 KHz splits between 461.0375-469.5625.

Looks like you're on the way Shawn...good luck and have fun.
You'll probably also find things that are not film-crew related that are
interesting.

I forgot to mention 451-452 for simplex. That section is typically
repeater outputs, but I believe there are some channels in border areas
where the US uses high power, and the Canada uses low power to
not interfere (or visa-versa).
