There are too many variables in play to be able to answer that question with any accuracy. Such as:
- Exactly where you are in reference to a tower site for the target system
- whether the tower site employs directional antennas that may limit signal strength in your area
- the elevation where you are
- the material your home is made of
- the sensitivity of the radio receiver you're using
- any potential sources of interference in your immediate area, like commercial data transmitters
It could be that you can use the stock antenna that came with your radio and it works fine. Or you may need an elaborate outside antenna installation with a bit if height. Or, you may be out of luck completely. I would recommend taking your radio (assuming it's portable) in a vehicle with you near where you "might" be living and see what you can receive.
