I am going to be moving up to Glens Falls NY, what I want to know is scanners legal in NY ?

Not in cars. There is a sticky at the top of the NY forum that tells the whole story. FWIW, it is what it is and we do not debate the issue as it is pointless and has already been argued to death.

In eastern NY, it won't be so bad. Nobody really likes the Giants anyway. Now if you were moving to Bills country... LOL!
Back on topic. The question in relation to mobile scanning has been covered. If you mean scanners in general, they are legal everywhere in the United States. Only certain possible [mis]uses of scanners are illegal.
