Got 2 more to add to the confusion... just when we are getting used to 12xxx and 14xxx talkgroups

this morning (9-1) at about 0830 off the romeo tower I copied t/g 18480 and 16064

Nothing more than "Testing 1 2 3... " on both. Different voices and nothing more than that. they came up 2-3 times like this.. and then all was quiet on those groups.

anyone log or hear anything with talkgroups in this area??

Another Unknown....

Just got this today:

From the radio ID it's a Macomb Co unit. There is another talkgroup ID of 12081 assigned to Roseville. Could this be another new talkgroup assigned to them? Obviously, this unit was on a prisoner transport to some location in northern MI. Didn't have another scanner to monitor the audio.

TG 4070 (Radio ID 4160067 - State Agency Mobile assigned to Chegoygan County)
TG 4090 (Radio ID 4150052 - State Agency HT assigned to Charlevoix County)
TG 5048 (Radio ID 4240100 - State Agency HT assigned to Emmet County)

Again, I don't have another scanner to listen to the traffic. Anyone want to buy me one???? LOL!

I was told yesterday by a "friend" who is involved in the monthly meeting between Macomb/Oakland Emergency Managers, a issue has come up that no-one or very few people anticipated.

Very soon within the next two years, the channels/frequencies will be split in two. How will that effect, the uniden and RS scanners??

Or is this topic already addressed eleswhere on this site??

You might be referring to APCO P25 Phase II -- with Michigan's budget I see very little chance of that happening anytime soon...

Only radio affliated with this tower and last seen TG gives no clues

1428 on Lansing Tower - BUZZ2 to BUZZ3 and sounded like they were discussing parking spaces in a parking garage and looking for spot D17-3.

Also heard extensive testing on 12123 identified as 82LEIN (they were checking the emergency button with NCC)

I will be entering Michigan from Windsor Ontario over the bridge.

I go to school in Toledo and I usually just listen to Monroe County and Flat Rock, but if you're coming from downtown, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to throw Detroit and Northville in there.

Also, if you're taking I-75 down, program in the Downriver Mutual Aid TRS.

I'm willing to bet that it was the National Guard. I have heard them a few times up here in the Sault.

I am guessing this because 1428 is awfully close to their other TGID's, and the callsigns you gave sound an a lot like military callsigns.

I'm hearing 12137 off the Flat Rock Tower... they are using tactical call signs like "Falcon" and talking about heading to the range.... I think one person in the conversation was encrypted.... I have no idea who they could be.

Sounds like its a D.R.A.N.O. call sign.

Remember any of the other callsigns? I know Falcon is one of the Wayne Co. Sheriff SRT callsigns.
