That's what was stated when they switched channels yesterday. I think it's possibly Lenawee Ops channel but I am not sure. It was either Lenawee Sherriff Operarions or Adrian Police Operations. It was definitely Police and not Fire though.

Try the Uniden forum. This one is specifically for Michigan-related topics.

...St Helen site 4-18

Last night, saw a Roscommon Co RID affiliate with the following unknown talkgroups:
4139
4140
4560
4561
4562
4565
4571

This RID also affiliated with 72WF911, so my guess is these unknown talkgroups are township fire admin's or op's.

I suspect 4140 is associated with the Roscommon County Jail.

4417 is lake township, roscommon county fire paging.

5446 is likely Otsego County Station 3 Elmyra Fire Paging (waters site)
5447 is likely Otsego County Station 4 Vanderbuilt Fire Paging (waters site)
4438 is likely Otsego County Station 1 Johannesburg EMS (Waters site)

4558 - heard some Roscommon county Denton Twp EMS on it. (Grayling site)
4084 -hear some people with dump trucks near roscommon (Grayling site) crawford co 'state' radio id's
11967 - snow plows in arenac county (st. helen site)

I also heard a page cross patch on 5442, 5443, 5439 to otsego stations 1-5 about the 911 outage the other day.

Can someone give the St. Johns site a listen to see if it's on the air yet? This is located in Clinton County, and the frequencies are:

852.100000
852.487500
852.675000
854.362500
854.737500

Sites that are not in the county are hit or miss as to their carrying the radio traffic. Picking up PD traffic is not a surprise, since their units are scattered around, and could be affiliated with sites in neighboring counties.

I have a question....
The wiki says radio ID's are 7 digits. I have seen a few with 8...? Also, it does not say what zone 9 is... Half the radio ID's I see start with a 9, so its almost like they dont always follow the zone part? For example I will see 920xxxx and 420xxxx for crawford.... thoughts or ideas?

Some zones ran out of available numbers, so zone 9 is used to expand the pool of numbers.

RIDs should be seven digits, in the format: ZCCUUUU
Z is zone
CC is county
UUUU is unique radio

I have about 190 RID's logged that use 8 digits. some appear to be MSP, Wayne Co law, border patrol....

You're right @hockeyref2 . I see a lot of 1082xxxx RID's all the time. Honestly, the "Z" no longer represents what zone the radio is from.

In the counties where they ran out of radio IDs in the ZCCXXXX format, many have added a 1 or 2 to the beginning of the ID (i.e. 1ZCCXXXX or 2ZCCXXXX). It's just a method to increase the number of ID's available. Talkgroup IDs have had a similar process applied to them as well where there are Zxxx talkgroups, and 1Zxxx talkgroups.

Not sure if this would go here, but Long Lake (Grand Traverse Co) suffered a MASSIVE radio failure this morning during a structure fire page, according to a MPSCS listener. Absolutely none of their pagers went off and they ended up having to tone departments from other counties since nobody from Long Lake got the message. GT County is 100% on the MPSCS and has been quite proud of their success on it.
