Has Kalamazoo switched to a simulcast site yet? Or are they still all stand-alone sites?

They are still on stand-alone sites at this time. The new simulcast cell was supposed to be online by the 4th quarter of 2022 for testing. However, this maybe pushed back until the first quarter of 2023.

TGs 11360, 11361, 11362, and 11407 heard so far.
TG 11344 just showed up with RIDs 1000268 and 8845273 on the Blanchard tower talking about the Middleton sub and the Grant circuit. This appears to be in Gratiot County. Alma Electric (06-046 on EDACS)?

TG 11349-RIDs 3003181 and 8840161 talking about how weird it was not to hear static. Heard on the Blanchard tower.

From what I've seen, it looks like the Consumers frequencies are just being switched to existing MPSCS towers.
For example, the Remus Consumers tower has given two channels, 856.9125 and 857.9125 to the Blanchard MPSCS tower, with 859.9125 going to the Big Rapids tower.
I don't know of any plans for the Consumers towers.
The channel switch is a lot cheaper than converting the Consumers towers to MPSCS.

I'd imagine if there's a tower that would benefit MPSCS a lot, then it would be added to the system. Otherwise, they'll probably just add data channels to existing MPSCS sites.

Goog question! there a few Consumers towers south of mebut also MPSCS towers within 5-10 miles of eachother rural northern Mi brings up alot of Questions?

I'm getting a control channel on 853.9375. Using the Tune function on my PRO-106, it's giving a tower site of 3-014 with a NAC 790.
There is no tower 3-014 listed in the database. Any ideas?

This is a new one on me. I checked the FCC Database, and there is nothing around your area licensed for that frequency. Does it show any site neighbors? Could it be a nearby Consumers Energy site that has been repurposed?

It seems to be to the south or southwest, as I heard Consumers traffic referring to Fenville.

Yes, this is a Consumers Energy only site. They reused the site number of the old MPSCS Cedar site before the Kent Simulcast. I believe this site just came online recently.

The license is WRQV618, belonging to Consumers Energy.
I looked up the voice channel of 857.3375, it's located at Cedar Springs.
The only missing channel on the license is the 853.9375 control channel.

TG 11731 just popped up on the Mt. Pleasant tower, with an Isabella County RID of 9373144.
