MQ-9 sustains damages on approach to KHMN

Being in Alamogordo for the Airshow, the lights flickered and I wonder if the base lost power causing lost comm's with the Reaper.


MQ-9 sustains damages on approach

10/7/2011 - HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Officials with the 49th Wing announced a remotely piloted MQ-9 Reaper crashed on final approach here at approximately 6:45 p.m. Oct. 7.

Found out that the Base did indeed lose power, but because of the crash. The MQ-9 took out some powerlines on the way down...

I wonder what the chances are its due to the computer virus that hit the fleet.
