MR8100 antenna connector

Ok, heres a question for the guru's

I have an MR8100 that had the antenna connector broke off. The pigtail for the antenna is still there however it's a very small diameter that i think i would need a special connector.

Possible fix

I've had a few of those scanners pass through my hands in the past, and if memory serves, the small connector wire *might* be rg-174 or something nearly the equalivalent. If you have doubts you should try to measure the diamter of the wire, as connectors for coax are often spec'd for a certain diameter cable.


Googling, I found several sources for rg-174 connectors, including bnc's.
