Great reception from where? CT is a small state, but it's still big enough that narrowing down the receive location would be helpful.

Also heard was Suffolk County P25 (Zones 3, 4, 7, 8), East Hampton P25, and MTA 21.21
It would be unusual to get anything much more west than Suffolk/Nassau county line.
Signals fading back to normal now.

So far it looks like another Nassau / Suffolk MTA/MRSS site. Full scale here as is the Zone 1 Nassau site. Identical RSSI. Just entered it into the G5. So far heard TG 6027 D6/7 PD and TG 9032 D1/2 PD

One more note, I am getting nothing on DSDPlus now, however, I asked someone in Groton (CT) to check that freq. He is currently getting it 2 to 3 lines on FMP24 with normal reception conditions.

OK I am guessing it would be a site from Suffolk then. 95% of the traffic so far is D1/D2 PD with a handful of D6/D7 hits. And a few 9650 Northwell hits. With another radio locked onto the Nassau site, there was several hits on D6/D7 where there was no affiliation on this new site at the same time. But every single D1/D2 transmission affiliated with this new site. They both give me full scale RSSI, but then again I am basically line of sight to both counties.

I get 161 on a indoor yagi facing East and West with DSDPlus. Signal pretty much looks the same. Going to check it out later with sdr# or the 200 and check the rssi.

I barely receive it on the SDS200 with stock antenna. If I have my "SQUALISH SET TO "0", it will display the site nac.

I did some scouting today, Site 161 is not showing up as a neighbor at Site 46, 47, 48.

I'm not getting hits for the Control Channel (770.45625) on Site 161 from both my Northern and Southern Westchester monitoring sites.

26E Site 161 shows up in the NL for 26E Site 21 (Zone 1 Simulcast) but not on 26D Site 1 (Metro-25), 26E Site 81 (Zone 3), 26E Site 51 (Zone 2), or 26E Site 141 (Zone 7).

All this info seems to point toward a site ON Long Island, possibly Suffolk, as mentioned above.

Did not receive it on the handheld today around any of the Islips. Have the scanner and may be out further East tomorrow and further west during the week. Any of you Nassau County guys see the signal?

This may explain why I haven’t been able to receive zone 1 for the past month or so but the other night had my G4 set to monitor and was receiving “site 1/1” which RR says is NYC which I seriously doubt that’s what it was since I’m also in the Groton area. It was really hit or miss would come and go but still don’t think it was NYC site.

26D 1 is Metro Simulcast NYC. Conditions have been favorable the past few days and from up your way down to Ocean County NJ was solid red. I was receiving OC NJ yesterday with a small yagi.

Took the scanner out West to Nassau Suffolk line and back East to Bohemia and nothing. Yagi + LNA facing East from Islip Terrace seems strongest.
