I know this is taking this thread off track, but have you tried to adjust the filters? I was talking to a person on the phone the other day who owned an SDS model for "years". I asked him this question and his reply was, "what filters?"

Just sayin...

The filters help if you are prepared to keep tweaking for the immediate situation but can't overcome the poor design.
