When I had made that comment the live stream was very much active and in use all of the time. Sadly, due to the server dying, me losing my job that supported the high speed (T1 frame relay) connection directly from the server to the internet's backbone ceased to exist. I would very much like to put the stream back up, but I don't have a computer I can dedicate as the server, and my tiny 1meg dsl connection is hosting 4 computer users as it is, putting that stream on there would be too much of a drain.
So unfortunately, the Mississippi Gulf Coast live feed remains off line. I can't speak for the project, I never saw the website that jred184 was proposing. I still have intentions on bringing the Jackson County TRS back online some day. 1st goal is to get a dedicated server, and I will then try to host a few streams (less than 10) to see how well the load is. Maybe in time the higher stuff will drop in price. Over here 1.2mb DSL is still in the 30-40 dollar range, and 3mb is only available in certain areas.
