Neither of those are actual frequencies! He was hearing 153.1775, a control channel at Ossipee Mtn. in Waterboro. The Ossipee site was apparently deleted from the RR database during the recent updating.

I took a look and can't find any sign that it was ever in the database.

If you guys can grab site numbers, frequencies and names, a lot of this stuff could be submitted to the database.

Where is Whitten and Granite located! I have heard a little on Spruce, Pleasent and Denmark but I did have radio set up right to pick up ID. Im close to Spruce, Streaked, Pleasent and Denmark

If you go to the state of Maine website and search for MSCOMMNET, you will find the map of all the repeater sites.

Correction

Ref: 153.18 & 153.175

My error! 153.1775 is actually a control channel at Mt. Agamenticus, not Ossipee. Sorry for adding to the confusion here.

The frequency spacing in this part of the VHF band is as follows:

153.1700
153.1775
153.1850

The frequencies originally reported are not valid, but most scanners would stop on them if the signal strength is sufficient during a search. Searching with the correct 12.5 KHz spacing would help to eliminate that problem.

From the Downloads & Reports tab for the MSCOMMNET page:

"Deleted Site # 934 (Waterboro) MikeOxlong 2014-04-22 11:36:0"

BTW - This is not meant to be critical of you in any way; you did a great job of cleaning up this DB page!

That's why I didn't see it. I was looking for Ossipee.

There's a submission to put it back in now.

2 different sites..
173.4250 is Ossipee Mtn..
172.4250 is also on Ossipee, but is a region-Net, and should be using their customary 162.2 tone
None of the region nets have been submitted yet to the RR database..
I held off on submitting them, as they are not all complete...

We now have Mid-November for a date for this system to be active...
