With my recent purchase of a Whistler WS1040, i've been monitoring the MSCOMMNET, and have seen RID's I'm not familiar with or are in my log book
1101321
100103
1102102
2600761
Not sure what these ID's relate to but any input would be great!

When it concerns your troop dispatches and units the RID's are as follows

1101XXX -Mobile units
1102XXX -Portable Units
1103XXX -Base Units (such as the radio inside each troop barracks)
1104XXX -Dispatch Consoles

What those other codes are (100103, 2600761) that you have there are anyones guess. I run Unitrunker at times and have collected quite a list although much of it has changed because I havent run it and monitored in awhile. When each officer gets hired, changes rank, or changes department, they get a new radio, new to them. So if say 418 was a patrolman and ends up moving to CID, he/she will exchange their radio. So that 1101XXX (their mobile) and 1102XXX (their portable) will change. I used to save all that info and found that it changes so often (sometimes every 6 months all the way up to every couple years) that I gave up. Somewhere either here on radio reference or possible another scanner site, there is a list that shows all the RID info and what it goes to.
