I am looking for any confirmed active freqs. for the World’s Most Famous Arena. I have tried the ones in the Wiki here and the ones on the FCC license with no joy. Maybe they use low power IDK. That's why I am asking here. I have tried them all in DMR mode also, just in case they went that way. When I go to the games I can't bring a radio to search or use close call, because they don't let you in with it.

Based on monitoring the other MSG aka Boston Madison Square Garden - most don't know that the Boston Garden originally had Madison Sq in the name Boston Garden - Wikipedia
you need to be close-by as the radio systems are generally designed for on-site/property only

Yes I didn't know that about the Boston Garden. Interesting.
But as far as hearing low power, I can hear some low power signals many, many miles away. If their transmit site is at a decent elevation. It's more location, location, location. Height is more important than power.
So I just need some confirmed freqs. that I can try. But no one has chimed in yet.....

Many arena systems can not be heard off-site. The issue is not low power, it is the fact that the antenna system is either Radiax or indoor antennas so there is minimal signal outside the building. Also, some may be simplex portables only.

This is the reason these are often not in the RRDB since they can not be heard off-site and scanners are not allowed on-site so no way to confirm details of the operation.

I looked here.

Found a bunch of licenses.
WRTZ481 MSG
WQUE785 Bearcom
WQFC981 Bearcom
WQIY752 Bearcom
WQKI915 Bearcom
WQMB509 Bearcom

Might want to check the FCC site to see if they are active or not.

Thanks,

Dave520

Thanks for that Dave, Yes lots of freqs there. I have been trying to pin down an active freq for a while now. One of the issues I have is there are a lot of other transmitters on the frequencies between myself and that location, so sometimes it is a challenge to pick them out. Especially if they can use FM or DMR. So I have to program each freq for both modes. And when you don't know the PL if it is analog, you have to leave it open squelch, and of course there are many transmitters that open the squelch constantly. That is why I was hoping to get a confirmed freq or two with the PL or DMR CC. I do hear one on 464.525 DPL 466 which I believe is MSG. Mostly maintenance comms.

Did you check any of the call signs? They come up expired years ago. Those Bearcom licenses are often only for a special event.

WRTZ481 is a GMRS license in California.

Yes . a lot expired. But in retrospect, I found through personal experiences working at a Radio Shop that a lot of administrators are lax when it comes to renewing, and the stations are still active.

Your 464.525 looks good for WNVC587 along with 2 other frequencies that are repeaters you could possibly hear. Those Bearcom licenses are usually just for leased radios for a specific event. Portables and maybe a portable repeater.
