Just curious if the former "J" freq 39.14 is getting any use at all (TAC use, etc) since the consolidation in AACO. Anything?

Nil heard...

Dave-

I haven't heard any use of the Annapolis Barrack freq since they packed-up. I'm usually monitoring during AM/PM drive times and from about 7pm to 11pm...

Regards,

Heard it today

Just curious if the former "J" freq 39.14 is getting any use at all (TAC use, etc) since the consolidation in AACO. Anything?

I know this is a rather old thread, but thought DoctorDave and others may want to know...

I finally heard at least two units today on 39.14MHz with car-to-car comms. Sorry, I didn't think to check for a PL. The units were active around noon today, and I couldn't definitely ID them as being MSP, but they did sound like LEOs of some type. They were travelling south through the Dundalk area via 895.

Until today, I hadn't heard anything on the old J Barracks freq since they closed down, but Dispatcher308 confirmed that this freq was still being loaded into radios, so I didn't take it out of my scanner. Now I know that this freq isn't just taking up space without paying rent.

Rumor has it that if Bob Ehrlich gets back in office the barrack may be back in service.

RE: Re-opened J Barrack

It would be interesting to see what they might do with the radios... now that Glen Burnie is patched into the AACo TRS, I would hope that they'd do the same for a re-opened J Barrack.

Thanks for the scoop. I figured it would get some sort of use at some point.

Has anybody heard any recent MSP CID talk on 39.66? I haven't heard a peep on that channel in many years.

I haven't heard anything on the CID "Black" in quite some time... even when traveling out in Western MD.
