I've been scanning MPSCS/MSP in "open" mode, or for you Uniden users; "searching Talk Groups", for some time now. Today, I decided to scan in "closed" mode, scanning only known Talk Groups, that I have programmed, and I have quite a few. I am amazed at how quiet it is! I'm in S.E. Michigan, MSP District #2, Macomb County, Macomb, Michigan to be exact. Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks!

Hi, Bill.
I was just thinking the same thing. I actually checked the control channel to make sure I was still tracking the system but all seems well. I guess it's just a really quiet day today.

 Stupid is, as stupid does! I just took a look at my Talk Groups, and I was missing about eight of my most critical ones. This is what happens when you start shuffling things around at 6:30AM, before you have any coffee!

Now that I put them all back, things are starting to happen!

Things were still rather quiet yesterday. I had REGD2N, D2S, D2E and D2W, but they were all more quiet than usual.

Out of curiosity, what MPSCS talkgroups do you listen to? I'm in northern Oakland county and, on MPSCS, usually only hear the Chesterfield Twp. fire department.

You should hear D2 north, D2 West, D2 East, Shelby Twp, Chesterfield PD, and the Event TG's.

The Event TGs? Decimal 1010-1040 or so? I've never seen any of those. Seeing a MSP district 2 talkgroup, decimal 2000 series, is rare enough for me. FWIW, the Romeo tower is a few air miles from my location.

Try the Mt Clemens and Richmond Towers. TG 2075 is on the Mt. Clemens tower now. I hear the Event TG quite often giving out tickets on I75

Thanks, I'll program them in tonight and give it a listen.
