Hi Guys.

I was going over my MSP setup in my XT scanners and comparing it to the online database(s), there appears to be a discrepancy regarding site/zone 20.

The RR database lists MSP site 20 as being located on Ides Hill in Attleboro, MA.
ScanNewEngland.net lists MSP zone 20 as being located on Ayers Hill in Haverhill, MA.
Both are listed with a CC frequency of 868.63750.

If these two conflicting locations were near each other then it would not be much of an issue, but they are at opposite ends of the state. This effects location-based SQK setup. I had it programmed into my scanners as Haverhill with it's own SQK and I have always switched it on while traveling up rt I95 when visiting family in NH, but I don't recall ever picking up a transmission from that site (but I may have just overlooked it as I don't usually look at the scanner while driving).

I would ask this question on the SNE forums, but I am not a member there and they are currently not allowing any new user registrations. Can anyone verify where site/zone 20 is located?

Thanks for the reply KB1UAM,

One more question; Are the two CC frequencies of 868.47500 and 868.63750 listed in the RR MSP database correct for this zone?

Zone 20 is Haverhill, i know for a fact that attleboro is in zone4

Attleboro is in Zone 5, although it really doesn't matter for this thread. Zone 20 is a fill in site for Zone 5, so you really don't need to program it in your scanner.

garys you are correct on zone 5, that was a typo on my part. also not to go off topic but, if i wanted to listen to A troop from new bedford, should i program the talkgroups for troop A. I have them programmed in already but i never hear anything on them. i get troop H all the time.

Are you hearing H-Troop talkgroups using zone 5 or zone 3? If you are in New Bedford I'm guessing you are hearing them on zone 3 with a control channel of 859.8375? I would be very surprised if you are hearing zone 5 from your location?

A PTL 1, 2 and 3 are not SmartZoned into the D Bristol system (Zone 3). H PTL 1 and 2 are, so you will hear traffic on them if anyone has affiliated on Zone 3 while selected on one of these talkgroups.
