Does anyone know if MSP Waterloo is tied into the Howard Co. TRS. If so, then what are their talkgroups. I noticed that under old talkgroups there was a TG designated for that use.
Mo,
There is a space in the radios that say MSP1 and MSP2. I have not heard anything on the system as of yet, but it is ch 15 and 16 on the police template, its in the Alpha and Bravo zones. I am not sure if this is to patch them together of if the MSP is getting digital radios on our system, only time will tell...
Not as of yet. I only have so much inside info on the PD I will submit it as soon as I get it... I have noticed that the police like to stick to thier 4 or 5 favorite talkgroups and don't stray as much as we fire folks do.
They are definitely on the system now. Whenever I'd listen to Howard County before I left these talkgroups on but never heard anything until about two weeks ago. It's just the regular MSP channel but on Howard's system. Much better reception than listening to them on 39 mhz though.
Affirmitive they are on the system. Noticed it last Sunday for the first time. It matches up with the lo-band freq, just with a split-second delay because of the digital conversion.
I think it started up again last Saturday after initial testing last month. The MSP had a DUI that they were chasing thru Howard Co and called in Trooper 7 and the HCPD to track. They got em quick but then they never turned off the patchs. I'm not complaining....
