Also, Madison SO will soon be swapping to MSWIN. There will be 10 or so talkgroups will full encryption on all talkgroups. They've been slowly purchasing MSWIN radios to avoid approval from the WCC. There will be a 1-2 countywide common law channels for interop. MAD SO F1 will be TG 44780.

Heard they were going before the WCC this month for their purchases. Hard to hide purchases when you have to go to the commission for the IDs to turn on the radio.

Glad to hear they will be going before the WCC since they just spent all that money on that Icom system a few years back, but I doubt they will get much resistance, since the State wants every agency on the system.

Umm why do you think the new site was friggin built? Specifically to FINALLY shut MCSO up and make them get on board after years of playing games. Go back through the minutes. You will find month after month of MCSO playing political BS to get more, more more. The first playoff was taking the TG specifically assigned to them for the SO, handing it over to EMA/Fire and literally thumbing their noses at MWCC. And of course they will encrypt every TG the SO gets. Also, EMA/Fire will get more TG's on too. Hope they don't strap them E.
