Has anyone caught any Civil Air Patrol activity with the Mt Hood Search ???
They would usually be involved [Aerial Photos]

Yes - I caught one of their aircraft on Oregon State SAR 155.805 MHz
in communication with the Sheriff's office command post the other day.
That's exactly what they said they were doing - taking photos.

Odd no reports on CAP channels themselves. With multiple Repeaters to cover the State, or even the Guard channels.

Repeaters are:
Bend [Grizzley]
Coos Bay [Signal Tree]
Council Crest
Elk Mtn
Eugene [Praire]
Kalmath Falls [Keno]
Mount Hood
Portland [Alice]
Salem
Snow Peak

The local paper said that the search has been suspended due to weather conditions and avalanche danger. Also quoted an official as saying there was a less than 1% chance the other two climbers were still alive.

Sad, but all too common for Mt. Hood

That's two so far this year plus two lat year or the year before. I wonder how many more unrecovered people are up there? Maybe if they renamed it Cemetery Mountain it might discourage some, but I rather doubt it.

Just to put things in context - about 10,000 people a year climb Mt Hood - and countless more visit the slopes. Statistically speaking, you are in more danger driving to work during rush hour, then climbing Mt Hood. That being said, it's too bad they didn't have beacons (not that I think they should be mandatory) if they HAD been carrying a beacon it MAY have changed the outcome, but no one knows for sure.

And sometimes, crap happens.
