I was talking to a friend of mine today about a climbing accident on Mt St Helens. A few questions came up and I thought I would throw them out to everyone. What frequencies does North County EMS (VRT) Volcano Rescue Team in Clark County use for VHF SAR on the Mtn.? Cowlitz SO uses VHF about NCEMS is on the CRESA 800 system. Do most SAR OPS on St Helens work off VHF or 800 TRS or Cowlitz County SO SAR Frequency. 159.390.

Does anyone have frequencies for the USFS or NPS up there? I think they are dispatched by Columbia Cascade Interagency Fire Center?

Also, a "private" helicopter was on scene on the Mtn to airlift the patient to a NCEMS ground unit. Could it have been a Natl Park Helicopter or one of the private companies that do sight seeing tours on the Mtn.? ..such as this website that shows a helicopter with JL Avaition logos on it. I see no winch system on it.
