I haven't been able to figure out what systems or conv. frequencies Mt. Zion, IL and Maroa, IL PDs are using. Mt. Zion conventinal freqs. in the RR database don't seem to be active.

I would assume at this point they are on with Decatur and Macon County on the STARCOM21 digital trunked system.

Thanks I'll listen for those. I haven't seen them patrolling 51 nearly as much lately... hopefully there will be some radio traffic. I know Forsyth is patrolled by Macon county sheriff under contract.
I drive through Maroa twice a day as I work in Decatur. I rarely see them during the day. But I was on 2nd shift a year ago they were on 51 virtually every night around midnight.
Dedicated listening to identify groups
What would be great is if someone could dedicate a week or so of listening primarily to the law (and fire) and unidentified talkgroups to try to help and understand what each of these talkgroups are actually used for.
With my old job I was in the area multiple times a month, and that's where a lot of the information listed came from. They were just converting at the time and there was a lot of testing and unknown. (2 years ago). It really hasn't been updated since.
