I noticed that the MTA police moved to the MTA trunked system and their old freq of 494.762 was incorporated into the new system as one of the control channels. I noticed that the database was updated, but no mention of it on the forums, so I figured I would give anyone who doesn't listen to MTA that often a heads up.

Hmm - this might also explain why the old 160Mhz Light Rail freqs I had were dead. Thanks for pointing this out, Mo 73 Mike

The 160 Light Rail frequencies are still used but if you're not near the train that is transmitting, good luck. For some reason the transmissions have really degraded.

MTA Police migrated to the trunked system in early April. Four talkgroups so far with the possibility of more in the future,

The audio is better in most areas but the dead spots are worse than ever. Owings Mills and from Linthicum south are extremely bad.

Interop?? MTA finally got us on the trunking system. Give them another 20 years! :p
