If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I programmed my MTR3000 repeater recently and updated the firmware. Not my power/status light is just flashing amber. According to the manual it says it is in service mode.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have an antenna or dummy load on the transmitter? Unit may be in SWR lockout or one of several other types. You will need to read it with RDAC to see. TT

Sweet! The stupid repeater keys up briefly during its power on sequence and will throw a Major alarm and lock itself out if not on an antenna or load. TT

Well I have another issue, I cannot get the repeater to operate in digital mode. It works fine in analog. I have confirmed that the color code is correct, frequencies are correct as it does work in analog. I see that RAS says disabled and grayed out, so not even sure where I could enable that. When I key the radios it does not even acknowledge anything is there.
Thanks

Thanks, I figured it out. I did not have the admit criteria set to color code free.

One question though, is it possible to set this repeater to accept two different digital channels with two different sets of frequencies? Set one to slot 1 and the other to slot 2?
