• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I've read some forums and seems like mixed answers. I have some XPR 3500s and 7550s as well as a few HT1250s that are all using impres batteries now. I have a WPLN4211 multi Bay charger and I understand it only works with the XPR radios. I'm only using 3 slots. I'd like to be able to use the other 3 slots for my HT1250s and only need the one charger instead of the gang charger plus a few singles.

I know some of the MUCs have adapters.

Does anyone know if there is any gang MUC units that would support the XPR and the HT1250 line with or without adapters? Possibly even XTS line as I may be acquiring a few soon, but not a deal breaker. Mainly looking for XPR and waris adaptability.

I would like if all 6 pockets have a display, but if only the first one has a display I can make that work. If there's none that have displays I can also deal with that as a last resort.

If you could provide model numbers for the compatible MUC along with the adapters if needed that would be wonderful.

Thanks for the help!

The TRBO cup adapter is NNTN8170
The Waris cup adapter is RLN5648

Just make sure the MUC is above firmware 3.40

Thank you @K2NEC . I've heard that the WPLN4121BR will work with the adapters. No display (or maybe one) on this model. I've heard you can add displays.

Would you happen to know if those adapters would work with this MUC as well:
